American Staffordshire Terrier - Brenda - Medium - Adult
Brenda is a 5 year old petite pit mix who lived with a family before coming to the shelter, so she's used to living in a home. She's a happy, mellow girl who is a blast to play with! She'd be great with a family, but because she can be shy at first, kids 10+ would be best for her. Brenda takes a little while to get comfortable around other dogs, at least here at the shelter, but she may be ok with a similarly mellow dog or an older dog. Brenda is a sweetie pie and lots of fun -- she loves playing fetch and running around the yard, and goes out weekly with the SPCA Running Team! An all around great dog! No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. You may also fill out an Application when you get here. We do same day adoptions. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved Application with us this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog. Also note, even if approved to adopt from us, if you have a dog(s) at home they MUST meet the dog(s) you are interested in adopting from here to ensure they get along before you can officially adopt. All Dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Veterinarian check from a participating Vet! Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. High Kill Shelter/Southern Rescues, both Puppies and Adults are $325, All Puppies are $325 and Local Stray Adults over 1 year of age are $175 and up. Seniors and Lonely Hearts Club members are $65.
